Lead and manage the software development team to design and build efficient, scalable software solutions, bridging technical requirements with business goals, and ensuring team performance meets the highest quality standards while adhering to timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the developer team and assign tasks according to priorities and the project plan; track workflow progress.
- Ensure all deadlines for every task and project are met.
- Take full responsibility for the final technical quality of any deliverable coming out of the department.
- Receive and review code submitted by developers prior to merging.
- Reject or return any code that doesn’t meet quality, performance, or scalability standards.
- Ensure internal code documentation supports easy future maintenance.
- Conduct periodic reviews of database structure and project architecture to maintain consistency across all projects.
- Oversee recurring testing cycles for each project according to the agreed timeline and milestones.
- Ensure every new feature or update undergoes Functional Testing, UI Testing, and Bug Fixing before going to production.
- Submit regular reports to company management on completion rates, technical obstacles, and the team’s actual needs — each report covering features tested, bugs found, fix status, and notes.
- Maintain a log of testing cycles across all projects to allow reference in case of future disputes or reviews.
- Review implemented UIs to confirm they match the approved design and are user-friendly.
- Have working knowledge of the Laravel framework (backend development, API development, the Eloquent engine, queue management, and the authentication/authorization system) to be able to properly review the team’s work.
- Have working knowledge of the Next.js framework (server-side rendering, static site generation, performance optimization, and SEO technical best practices).
- Document all programming and technical steps for each project in an organized way, ensuring a backup exists before any major update.
- Save final files and versions in their official paths on the company’s Google Drive, following a unified naming convention for files and folders.
- Be held directly accountable for any technical failure resulting from a lapse in review or oversight within the department.
- Ensure business continuity even if a team member is absent, by distributing sufficient knowledge across the team.
- Maintain high adaptability and a proactive drive to explore and test new tools and technologies in programming and app development (AI tools, libraries, SDKs, and modern development platforms) on an ongoing basis.
- Use generative AI tools in daily technical research and analysis, including: debugging and suggesting code fixes, speeding up documentation writing, and researching best technical practices.
- Ensure adopting any new tool or technology doesn’t conflict with the company’s security, privacy, or code quality standards.
Ownership of Assets, Intellectual Property, and Data
- Ownership of Code and Files: All source codes, APIs, files, designs, strategies, plans, and innovative solutions shall be considered the exclusive and private property of Howeyah Digital Solutions. The employee is not entitled to retain personal copies or transfer any of these assets outside the company’s work environment.
- Paid Software and Tools: The company provides subscriptions to paid tools and AI-powered tools strictly for work-related purposes only. Using these tools for personal purposes is strictly prohibited.
- Work Accounts and Confidentiality: All work must be conducted exclusively through company-owned accounts (official software platforms, official emails, servers, and company cloud storage). Sharing login credentials or client data with any external party or through personal communication channels is strictly prohibited.
- Documentation of Client Communication: All client interactions and communications must be conducted exclusively through official company accounts. Employees are not permitted to use personal emails or personal accounts for business-related work. In exceptional circumstances where a personal channel must be used, prior approval from management is required. Once the reason for using the personal channel ends, all work materials and communications must be fully transferred to the company account, becoming the sole property of the company, not merely granting access permissions.
- Personal Work Portfolio: Employees may request samples or screenshots of their completed work to include in their personal professional portfolio, provided they obtain prior approval from management and ensure that no tasks, projects, or materials belonging to colleagues or the company that they are not authorized to display are included.
Working Hours and Schedule
- Working Days: From Saturday to Thursday (Friday is the official weekly day off).
- Working Hours: 8 consecutive working hours per day, excluding a 40-minute break.
- Flexible Attendance: Working hours may start flexibly at any time between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- Availability and Responsiveness: The employee is required to remain available, follow up, and actively engage during working hours.
